A colour-coded labelling system for North East fishcake specialist. Creating freezable labels for pre-packaged goods
Larry’s Fishcakes is a 60 year old North Shields business renowned across the region for it’s great tasting traditional fishcakes and savouries.
Offering North East suppliers and wholesalers such as Henry Colbeck and Smales their delicious and popular frozen fishcake products, the business required a more efficient labelling system to organise the large orders and meet the growing demands of their expanding client base, which also included a number of independent fish and chip shops.
We visited the client’s premises and discussed the business’s unique labelling requirements.
In order to make the various types of fishcakes more distinguishable, we created a colour coded labelling system, taking into consideration the logo and ingredient list which needed to fit around the fishcake boxes in a clear and readable way.
Due to the business’s large wholesaler client base, we needed to ensure that the materials and adhesives were suitable for deep-freezing.
Not only did we design and print the labels, but we also set-up a printer so that the client could print their own labels in-house.
Due to the success of the labelling solutions and the on-going back-up service we provide, we have worked with the Larry’s Fishcakes for over 20 years and produce 10-20,000+ labels for the business per month.
